WILLIAM ROBERT “BILL” RULAND

William Robert Ruland 61, died Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Summit Medical Center in Summit County, Colorado. Mr. Ruland was a native and lifelong resident of Savannah. He was a graduate of Benedictine Military School and was presently employed with Mingledorff’s Heating and Air. Mr. Ruland was a member of St. James Catholic Church where he served a Eucharistic minister. Other memberships include the St. Patrick Day Parade Committee where he served on the Adjutant Staff, Irish Heritage Society, Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Sein Fein Society and the Forest City Gun Club. Mr. Ruland was a United States veteran having served in the Air National Guard.

Surviving are, his wife, Barrie Hitt Ruland of Savannah, his son, William Ruland of Atlanta, his son and daughter in law, Brian and Heather Ruland of Richmond Hill, a brother, Jerry Ruland of North Carolina, a sister, Theresa Carter of Tennessee and his grandson, Cole Ruland of Richmond Hill.

Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2006 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Remembrances to: Benedictine Military School, American Heart Association, and the American Diabetes Association.
